Kids in Vegas can help make the Vegas experience enjoyable for families. Children may "pass through" the casinos, but only when accompanied by an adult.
Las Vegas has (and readily enforces) a curfew for anyone under the age of 18. In general (although it varies slightly by day of the week) children under the age of 18 MUST BE off the streets by 9pm.
Las Vegas Hotels nearly all have swimming pools, but just having a pool doesn't mean much unless it's designed for the "experience".
MGM Grand has one of the best known pools - well 5 pools actually in their pool complex complete with waterfalls.
You can read more about the MGM Grand Swimming Pool Complex later on.
We know of very few kids who don't love to splash and play in the pool. If you choose to stay in a Resort with a ho-hum pool, be sure to bring along plenty of sunblock as many standard pools have very little shade.
WHAT TO DO IN LV WITH KIDS:
Mandalay Bay: The main highlight at this hotel would be the shark reef…but there is an admission fee.
Luxor: They have a small arcade, with some 3D motion simulators.
Excalibur: Downstairs you will find the Midway…a typical midway you will see at your local carnival.
MGM: The Lion exhibit.
NYNY: If you have older kids, they can ride the roller coaster, otherwise…it’s a nice sight seeing place you can stroll with the kids.
M&M building….it’s a 4 floor building, great for everyone, but it is always crowded, meaning pushing a dual stroller through the crowd will be difficult. They offer a FREE 3D show on the 4th floor…if your child is not scared of the dark, it’s worth seeing.
Aladdin, great place to stroll your kids through the Desert Passage.
Bellagio: Unless you are staying at the Bellagio…NO kids UNDER 5 years of age are permitted inside. Even if your child is over the age of 5, you must prove you have reservation at one of their restaurants….OUTSIDE you can watch the water fountain show.
Paris to Bally’s….inside there are some shops in between the 2 hotels.
Caesars Palace, another good place to stroll the kids through the “Forum” for sight seeing.
Imperial Palace: You will be able to find free admission coupons on the internet, or in front of the IP for the car exhibit.
Harrah’s: if your child is older than 5 years of age, they could go to the afternoon Mac King comedy show. Discount coupons can be found…..even free admission coupons. But be warned, you must purchase one EXSPENSIVE drink, the cost at posting is about $8 per drink.
